Key Pre-MLB Issue
2022 Bowman Chrome NPB #9 — Orix Buffaloes
Collector’s Note
Yamamoto’s established Japanese professional career preceded his MLB rookie season. His 2022 Bowman Chrome NPB card is an important early issue, but it is not an MLB ‘1st Bowman’ prospect card or an MLB RC-logo rookie.

Long-Term Hobby Appeal
Yamamoto’s established NPB résumé, World Series success, and international collector base distinguish him from typical rookie pitchers. Premium pricing still reflects pitching injury risk, but his Japanese and MLB cards offer separate collecting markets.
